Valley of the Sith Lords
The Valley of the Sith Lords is the burial place of many of the ancient Sith. Their tombs, as well as countless other archeological finds, can be found within the Valley. Both Hssiss and Tuk'ata prowl the valley floor.

 Tomb of Naga Sadow
« Thread Started on Jan 19, 2009, 11:20pm »

This tomb for Naga Sadow was constructed but was never used, as the Sith Lord spent his remaining time on Yavin 4. Sadow's empty tomb houses one of the ancient Rakatan Star Map. Tuk'ata and Shyracks also can be found within the cave.

(Continued from the Valley Floor)

*The main door into Naga Sadow's tomb quivers and shakes before grinding open only a few feet. Settled dust on the tomb's floor and walls is suddenly disturbed and flies around the narrow hallway connecting the tomb proper with the valley outside. As the door opens, white-orange sunlight pierces through the hazy opening to reveal two shadows standing on the other side. One humanoid and the other quite alien.*

*Riglann pushes his way past the human and through the opening leading into the tomb. The Dark Side called to him, and he hungered for it. Stepping into the tomb, the dark taint radiates through him and causes him to wheeze in response. The energy here was pure darkness, unlike anything Riglann had ever experienced. Even in the darkest portions of the jungle on his homeworld of Felucia the dark energy was scattered and uneven as it flowed through and around living creatures. Here it simply existed in it's raw state. It was exhilarating.*

*Taking the first steps into the tomb, Riglann passes through the haze of dust and sand created by the opening of the ancient stone door. The passageway angled upward, calling him forward. Riglann obeyed and slowly stalked forward, his twin swords made from the teeth of a defeated Rancor held tightly in his two upper arms.*

*After a relatively short distance the tomb walkway opened up into a octagonal room with corridor's jutting off to both his left and right in addition to directly before him. squinting his beady eyes, he concentrates on the origin of the dark energy he could taste. His many tendrils quiver in effort, as the entire tomb was laced in the Dark Side and thus finding one particular point was extremely difficult. Eventually however he gets the overwhelming sense to go forward - it was from there that the darkness called him.*

*Knowing it to be his path, Riglann walks around the crumbling central pillar of the octagonal room and forward. This time the walkway angles down, following it Riglann begins to smell a putrid odor rising up from the bottom of this corridor. As he reached the bottom, the origin of the stench became quite obvious. There before him was a raging river of bubbling green acid. This river had apparently ripped through this lower level of the tomb and now served as an impasse between Riglann and his destination. Looking around there seemed to be no means by which to cross the river, and Riglann dare not wade through it.*

« Dark sorcery run afoul! This shall not deter me. »

*But Riglann was currently at a loss as to how to proceed. The river was too wide for him to risk leaping over, even with the power here in this place to fuel him. Perhaps the human knew? Perhaps the solution rested in another chamber? It was impossible to know for certain.*

*Brendan is a little shocked when he sees the door begin to move, after he touched it. He takes a step back and watches it move its giant weight up till a clear opening shows for himself, and his companion. And, at this moment, a dark energy flows from the tomb into his very soul. Re-energizing him, and reassuring him he has made the right decision to press onward with his companion. And, his companion does just that. Not wanted to be left behind, Brendan follows suit into the tomb. Not knowing what they will encounter*

*As the two venture farther into the tomb, they come across three different ways to go forth. Brendan stands their and ponders for a moment where to go. Not knowing, he looks over at him companion to see what he thinks. But, as he does, he see him begin to walk forward. It would seem to Brendan this creature felt the darkness in this tomb even more then he did. Or, it was still calling to it as it was in the valley. Either way, with this conclusion, Brendan decides he would follow. For it would be easier to defeat any beasts that lay within with the two of them rather then facing them alone, at the moment*

*They head through the north path, and reach the river of acid together. The mere size of the river negated any thought of trying to force jump across. However, the river had been frozen over with an grenade, which kind, he couldn't remember from his lesson with Darth Sion. But, regardless, it took something like that to reach the chamber beyond. So, knowing this, It was time to head down one of the other paths. If not to find a magical item of that sort, but at least to try and find something...*

*Brendan looks over at his companion, and notices that it is looking at him. He glances back down the path that they came, and looks back at his companion. No sense standing here, so Brendan decided to start walking up the path back to the room. He looks back, and moves his left arm into a ninety degree angle to symbolize heading down the path to their right when they reach the room. Not sure if the creature would follow suit, or if it wanted to go the other way, he waits for it there*

*The human creature seemed to have understood Riglann's purposeful looks, at least in part, as he turned away from the river of acidic liquid and returned to the the + shaped room that they had first passed through. Cofrin pointed to the right, but then looked to Riglann, as if asking him where to go.*

« I know not the path. This is your dark place of worship, not mine! »

*Riglan snarled. It was evident in his tone that his patience was dwindling. The dark essence called to him from directly beyond the river of acid. To go in any direction other than forward literally pained him, as his body thirsted for immersion into the source of dark power beyond the underground river...whatever that may be.*

« Lead, before I am forced to devour you. »

*Riglann takes a step toward Cofrin, his two right hands beginning to glow with the swirling purple and black smokey energy that often characterized the Drain Life Force power.*

*As Brendan looks back at his companion, he could sense the unrest growing around them. His companion began to show signs of the Drain Life power, and thus, needed to get things on the move before another confrontation started between the two. They both saw their goal, but steps needed to be done before they could cross the river. So, as his companion takes a step to him, Brendan turns and heads back to the center room*

*Once in the center chamber, Brendan quickly remembers his studies with Lord Sion. Lord Sion believed Revan to be weak, but regardless told Brendan about his return here during the Jedi Civil War. It was to find the Star Map located within! Realizing this is what was driving his companion, he quickly gathers his thoughts as to how Revan got across the river the first time...*

*After a moment, he remembers it took a grenade to freeze the acid. And, in his studies of the tomb, he was told before it was located in a chamber guarded by beasts. Not knowing which direction however, was this chamber. He quickly shoots his head left, then right, and then back left. He looks deeper down the left hallway, and with closer examination, smells something coming from it. More then just dust in the air. It would seem that this was the way to go. For it would most likely be a feast the beasts were eating that created that smell*

*With this, Brendan glances over to his companion hand gestures with his hand to follow him to the left hallway. He begins to walk down, and as he can see the hallway come to an end, he grabs his saber, and brings it up in a ready position. He couldn't sense any forms of life in the next room, but he didn't sense the Hssiss either back in the valley, and that smell was still coming from there.*

*Brendan stands at the entrance, and slowly moves his head into the room to take a look. Once he does, he finally sees that the smell was coming from the beasts Revan has slain many years ago. The Sith had not taken them out as it would disturb the tomb, but the creatures that called the valley home, had cleaned the carcasses dry. Leaving the smell of bone, dust, and blood for the two of them to find. Quickly looking around, Brendan senses no enemies, and moves into the room. Knowing his companion would follow behind, he sees the room where the grenade would be kept*

*Moving quickly, Brendan enters the room, and remembering through his training, that the pillars currently standing before them, was known as the Pillar of Ice, and the Pillar of Fire. As Brendan walks to the Pillar of Ice, uses the force to open the small hatch, and sees two Ice grenades for their taking. Brendan, places his saber back at his side, smiles, and uses the force to pull both to him. With both in hand, He turns to his companion and points back to where they came. It was now time to head back to the river of acid, and get across!*

*Brendan makes his way back to the central chamber, and then, back to the river of acid that stopped their path before. Encountering no resistance along the way, it was time to cross. He looks at the grenade he holds, and takes one of them, and tosses it into the river. Hoping this did the trick. With in seconds, the river began to slow, and freeze up. After a minute, the river was now ready to be walked across, or so it would seem*

*Brendan looks back at his companion, and then back at the, now frozen river, before them. He then, begins to walk forward onto the ice to show it is safe. Not really sure at first, Brendan is very causes as he steps. But, realizing the river was really frozen, a smile comes over him. He looks back again at his companion, with his right hand, signals for him to come across*

*Riglann cautiously follows after the human, staying behind him as he ventures further into the tomb, further away from the source of the the darkness. But perhaps, just perhaps, one must travel away from one's goal to achieve it. As he entered the foul smelling room, Riglann sees the dried decaying corpses of two once-magnificent beasts. Just as large as the Rancors found on his homeworld, and likely just as deadly, if not more so. Riglann could feel their deaths, even though he knew that the two creatures had perished long ago. Somehow... he felt them. Their essence lingered in the air.... tainted it. But it was not here that the human stopped, instead he continued on, entering a smaller chamber with nothing but two pillars. The one to the right he ignored completely, but the one to the left... it opened for him. Riglann felt no calling to it, nothing prodding him in that direction, so how the human knew which pillar to access, and which pillar held the key to their continuation, Riglann could not fathom*

*Rather than some sort of mystical object, to Riglann's surprise the human pulled out two metallic orbs with a faint blue hue. Neither held any significance to Riglann, nor did they make any sense to him. They were not alive, and so they might as well have not existed at all as far as Riglann was concerned. But the human took them nonetheless, and returned back to the river of acid.*

*Riglann followed quickly, now curious as to how these two relatively unspectacular orbs would solve the obstacle of acidic river. Arriving back at the river's bank, Riglann turned with a cocked head toward the human. But before he could inquire as to the orb's purpose the human threw one of the orbs into the river. Riglann's first thought was,
"Well that was a waste." But an instant later, the river began to snap and crunch. Turning his attention to it, he saw as the acid slowly began to freeze and become solid. A minute later a larger portion of the river was now frozen solid. Solid enough to cross upon.*

« What sort of sorcery is this? »

*It was no kind of magic he had seen before. Not even the Shamans of his homeworld could produce such feats. And yet Riglann had not sensed a dark presence within the orbs themselves. Thus only one conclusion leapt to his mind. These orbs must have been subject to the same sort of enchantment as the humans' flying metal star-beasts, and their swords of light. What was it they called it? "Technology:" a blight upon the galaxy as far as Riglann was concerned. It was not natural, and thus it held no place in this galaxy.*

*But regardless of whether Riglann agreed with the means or not, the river had now become passable. Looking to his companion, he noticed that the human was now gesturing for him to cross with his many pearly-white fangs showing. Riglann crouched down and craned his neck to the side sharply in a Felucian display of suspicion. Still, the darkness beyond beckoned to him. Cautiously, Riglann stepped onto the frozen acid. It was slippery and there was a slight tingle of corrosion on his bare suction-cup-like feet as the frozen acid struggled to eat away at his flesh. With a snarl, Riglann quickened his pace, wishing no further pain upon his tender feet, and scampers across the wide frozen ravine.*

*Reaching the other side, Riglann could sense the darkness growing stronger than ever before. Stronger than the thickest forests on Felucia, stronger than in the dead valley from which he had found this tomb. Here the darkness was pure. Here the darkness was unchallenged. And so Riglann stepped forward, emerging himself in it.*

*Stepping into the darkness was intoxicating. The doors into the final sanctum of the tomb parted and Riglann nearly doubled over in the sheer magnificence of what he could sense. Pure, unfiltered, completely dark essence. At no point in his life had he ever experienced such darkness.*

*Struggling to keep his composure, Riglann looks into the interior of the final room. There in the center lays an empty sarcophagus, opened, broken, and shattered from years prior. But it was not this that called to him. No, the source of the power was not from the grave itself, but from something... beyond it.*

*Riglann forces himself forward, each step feeling more and more heavy, each step requiring more strength than the last. But after much effort, and almost near exhaustion, Riglann reaches his goal. A strange tri-structured obelisk stands before him, radiating dark energy. It was unlike anything he had seen before, not only one his homeworld, but here on this barren world known as Korriban, as well. This structure, though no taller than himself, was truly alien in origin. And old.*

*As he took one more step toward the strange obelisk, the ground beneath him began to shudder and quake. Riglann stanced widens as he prepares for the tremor, but instead of increasing in intensity it gives way and the obelisk itself begins to separate. The three prongs slowly lower down with a harsh '
psshhh' and Riglann instinctively takes a step backwards. Finally the obelisk clicks loudly into place and a glowing blue, white, and yellow image begins to form. The colors swirl around in a crooked disk and then slowly pulse into clarity as representations of stars and planetary systems become visible. A Star Map.*

*Riglann stares in wonder at the image, taking in the grand spectacle. On a basic level he understood what he was looking at - an image of the galaxy itself. But it was so much more. He could sense it. This Star Map had been constructed by beings so ensnared by the darkness that their presences' had remained even through the countless eons. And in that time more dark beings had traveled here, and viewed this dark artifact. This artifact... something that was neither natural nor "technological." It was a device imbued with the Force itself.*

*Understanding its power and its importance, Riglann takes yet another step forward, reaching out one of his upper hands. He grasps a hold of one of the three prongs and red and purple energy suddenly course up his arms and into his body. Pain sears through him as the dark artifact's energy courses through him. Riglann rears his head back in agony and attempts to scream, but no breath escapes - for it is trapped by the energy. At this moment, Riglann can sense his death. He can sense the end of existence as he knows it.*

*But the Dark Side of the Force is not so merciful. Just as Riglann is about to surrender to the dark abyss, the coursing energy finally bursts and sends the blue and purple Felucian warrior flying backwards and colliding with the wall. An instant later the Star Map fizzles away and the three prongs close as the device deactivates.*

*Riglann, having been thoroughly electrocuted and then thrown across a room into a stone wall, lays slumped in the corner in shock. The dark energy that had coursed through his body had left little visible damage, in Riglann now appeared more colorful and more healthy than he ever had - even on Felucia. Having absorbed much of the blast and fed upon the darkness from which it had burst forth, Riglann now sat wild-eyed and crackling with lingering lightning. His breathing, however, was erratic - for he had not been fully prepared to consume such raw dark energy. It had been overwhelming, albeit exhilarating.*

*Brendan follow behind as him companion crosses the river and into the room beyond. Even though Brendan knew what lied ahead, he began to feel the great power coming from the room ahead. Brendan has been to many, many different places throughout the galaxy. But few have gripped him in darkness such as he is now. The Star Map that lay beyond them was incredibly powerful, and he knew both of them could feel it's darkness radiating off it*

*Entering the room behind his over-excited companion, Brendan gazed upon the Star Map, with his own eyes, for the first time. He just stood their, glancing at it. This was indeed the object Lord Revan had come to Korriban many moons ago to find. And, it's power still lingered now*

*Brendan then thinks to himself, how does one get the map to actually work? Not to mention, why did the force lead them here to this Map. It wasn't to find the Star Forge, since it had been destroyed many years ago by Revan himself. No, another reason was there for them to find. But, the issue of starting it up still lingered. And, as his ability to open the main door showed him, perhaps it was Brendan whom needed to use his power to command it to open? But it was at that moment, when his companion stepped forward that the map opens up*

*As it opens, Brendan is actually stunned with amazement. Few things he has seen has even taken his breath away. But this...it was an incredible view. He could only imagine how amazing it would have been to use this to try and find the Forge many years back. But, it was this shock that deprived Brendan of his awareness of what was going on. Brendan had no idea his companion was headed to the Map, until it grabbed it*

*He snaps out of his daze, and realizes what was going on. His companion had grabbed hold of the Star Map, and started to have a glow to him. Brendan, not sure what to do, just stood there and watched in wonder. If he interfered, there was no telling what would happen, to either of them. So, only could stand there, and watch*

*As he does, the energy coming from the two seems to change. Brendan continues to watch as suddenly a shock of energy is sent out. His body throws up his arms in a natural reaction to the wave of energy, and lowers his head to block his eyes. He quickly shoots his head back to see what happened, and has he does so, see his companion flying towards the wall*

*Brendan instinctively, begins to run towards his companion, in fear it was hurt. However, taking only one step to it, he could sense this was not the case. He stops, and sizes up what is going on. It looked like the creature had just drunken a whole pale of Cerillian Ale. But, it looked like it had consumed the darkness within the Map before them. But, being simple speculation, he walks slowly towards his companion*

*Once reaching his companion, hes not really sure what to do. He didn't want to try and piss it off more by speaking to it. Since he couldn't. So, he stands there, focused only on his companion, and seeing if it would snap out of the state it seemed to be in soon.

*Riglann rights himself and slowly stands, though slightly shakily as he was still reeling from the effects of consuming such raw darkness. Somehow he felt different, stronger, more certain. Almost as if he had already lived through the events currently happening and was now merely witnessing them. He was calm and his previously unsatisfied hunger was gone. Looking down at his four hands Riglann could see small wisps of lightning crackling around his fingertips before being absorbed into his dark blue and purple skin.*

*Now standing fully erect, Riglann turned to his human companion that stood staring at him from the center of the room. Shifting his gaze now back to the artifact that had nourished him, he could see that it had deactivated - though Riglann could still sense the dark power imbedded in it. He had not even begun to tap its reserves.*

*Taking a strained step forward toward the human, Riglann lets out a low rumbling growl that seems to echo off the walls of the tomb's innermost sanctum.*

« You have served your purpose, alien. Your existence shall never be forgotten. »

*Fueled by the power consumed from the ancient Rakatan Star Map, Riglann unleashes a wave of Force Lightning at the human, shooting forth from all four of the Felucian's outstretched hands.

*As his companion begins to speak to him, Brendan tires to listen, but just shakes his head when all he can still hear are barks. But, suddenly, the creature lifts all four hands and use force lightning on Brendan!*

*Brendan is completely taken off guard by this action. Since he knew the creature didn't know this before, since it was shocked at the sight of his own lightning back on Felucia. Because of this, all four rounds hit Brendan, flying him into the wall behind him on the other side of the room. He falls to the ground in a sitting position with dust from the wall falling on top of him*

*Now, even felling re-energized, and attune with himself could not prepare Brendan for what just happened. Suddenly, he was just attacked by a strong force, and it reminded his body of how bad it was doing. All the pain he was feeling before, crept back into his flesh. The lack of food or water, for who knows how long, creeps back in. Brendan feels all of this come back, and winces in pain. What caused this creature to do this to him? All he could think of was why?*

*Realizing now was not the time to think, but react, Brendan jumps up, and engages his red-double blade. He swings his head to the right, cracking his neck. And wings his blade in a circle to increase the dexterity in his hand. He then glares at the creature. The only thing in between them was the star map, and dust*

You'll pay for doing that.....creature.....

*Giving it a moment to sink in, Brendan quickly dives into the air over the star map. He rolls when he hits the ground, creating some dust to fly into the air. He then rolls up to a mid-level height, and goes in for a slice attack on the creatures right side, with Brendan's right side of his blade*

*This dark place fueled Riglann. So much was clear, so much had been revealed to him. He could taste the darkness like never before, and the shadows rewarded him. Even as the human creature lit his despicable fire-hued blade, Riglann could feel the pulsating energy around him giving him strength.*

*Using the power at his disposal, Riglann telekinetically grips a hold of the stone debris around him; particularly a larger block that had once been part of a pillar that held the roof above them. Using the Force, Riglann rips the stone from its resting place on the dusty ground and it flies across the room just as the human leapt into the air. Riglann steps to the side, just slightly, to allow the large stone to scream past him and collide with the human's torso, breaking the attack.*

*Lucian follows the two sith into the tomb. As he enters he sees the two sith standing at a hallway juncture in the tomb. The two sith stand there without moving. Nervous the Two sith are aware of his pressence he darts to one side of the hallway. Hiding behind an obtrusion in the wall Lucian glances around to see the sith.*

*Still unsure if the human sith is the so called Brendan, Lucian tries to get a closer look at the sith. Squinting his eyes to see more detail at this distance he sees both the sith walk down the left hallway.*

~If this is who I think it is then this will be a great chance to learn from a great sith. Someone whom Lucian had read about in several of his training books. But who is the other?~

*Lucian felt uneasy that he had gotten in far above his head. He had never learned about the tomb that he was in or even seen the valley just outside. He just knew that he was in a tomb of a true sith. HE could feel the power coming from inside. It was an amazingly powerful force that Lucian could not fully grasp.*

*Lucian found himself looking around the hallway, nervous that he was in over his head and realized...*

~Oh no...where did those two go?~

*He felt that the human would be accepting to Lucians pressence, but the alien creature made Lucian nervous. He had no idea what the creature would do if he found the lone sith following it. Just as Lucian began wondering if he should leave or not the two sith returned. the human through a small object into what looked like a pool or river inside the tomb which turned the liquid into a frozen bridge from one side to a path deeper into the tomb. Lucian followed at a distance further into the tomb.*

*as he reached the river he heard commotion from deeper inside the tomb. Lucian saw the creature and the Human attacking each other. Force lightning and other force powers against each other. Lucian can not help but watch the fighting going on inside the tomb, wondering how and why this fight started. Briefly forgetting that Lucian was attempting to remain unseen, he steps out from his cover as he is both confused and awed by what he sees infront of him*

*As Brendan goes in for the attack, he is struck by a large bolder. With the immense force thrust upon him, Brendan is flung backwards into the star map, smashing his head into one of the map's prongs*

*Brendan wasn't looking good. His head, surely suffering from a concussion, throbs with pain. His vision is now a little-bit blurred, and his hearing is now impaired. Adding to everything else that was going on with him, time was running out. His eyes remain closed for a moment, head raised as if he were looking into the stars. his body, in a sitting position resting against the star maps prong. A slight moan leaves his mouth. Never has Brendan felt like this before, a complete wreck*

*He now realizes, that there was no turning back. He would either die with honor, or a coward. And Brendan was never one to bend to fear. So, he lowers his head to meet the creature with his eyes. He turns his head quickly to the right, and spits out a small amount of blood building in his mouth. He then turns his head back to his former companion, and utters a quick sentence...*

Do what you will creature.....*cough*....I am not afraid!

*And, it is with that, that he disengages his blade. Holding still in his hand, he glares into the eyes of his former companion. His mind travels at a thousand thoughts a second. Why would the force bring him so far, just to end like this? Then, he thinks back to his abduction...How could he let that happen to himself? How could he let his friend get the better of him? Then, connecting the dots to present circumstances...how could the force use him in this way? How could this happen? Then, his mind realized how flawed Brendan really was. And how much learning he really had left to do....if he were to live. All these thoughts raced through his mind in a matter of seconds. All in anticipation of what his former companion was about to do next*

*Riglann crouched low, his four arms splayed out around him for balance, ready to leap into the air at a moment's notice. Tipping his head to the side he lets out a low guttural cackle; taunting the human. But the human does not attack, he appeared to still be reeling from the hard strike from the stone.*

*Riglann could taste his pain, taste his uncertainty. Now was the time to finish it. Reaching out with all four hands, Riglann thrusts his fingers forward and purple and black tendrils of dark energy lash outward to entwine his prey, just like he had done with the reptilian beast in the valley. The Drain Life power course through the air, grasping onto the nearest living creature, Brendan, and Riglann begins to literally consume the life from weakened Dark Jedi.*

*a frightening scene is unfolding in front of Lucian’s eyes. In the dimly lit tomb, the three sith become lost in the moment. Too far away to hear what is going on Lucian can only watch as the distress of the situation becomes real. The bright red glow of a lightsaber held by the human makes the whole room glow with an eerie aura. He can’t help but be awed by the events unveiling in front of him. The human begins to run towards the alien but is suddenly and very aggressively haulted as a boulder strikes him in the chest. Flown across the room by none other than the alien he is fighting.*

~This must be no ordinary creature. That must be the reason this human brought him here…an alien using the force? How obscure. That would be like a wookie being anything other than a useless waste of flesh. What else is hidden within this creatures mind?~

*At the next moment Lucian sees the human do the unthinkable. He quit the fight and turned off his lightsaber. Bloodied and obviously injured from the boulder striking his body, the human must have thought he was done for. But how could this be? If this truly was the sith that Lucian had been believing him to be, Brendan would have stood a better chance against his opponent. He thought back to his study, reading on the battles such as his assault on Dantooine. If this really was Brendan, the one Lucian had studied about, the Sith that led the assault into the Jedi enclave, the one who worked hand and hand with Lord Malak on his flag ship…there had to be more than what Lucian was seeing.*

*Suddenly the room is lit up once more. Not from the bright red glow of a lightsaber, no this time it was something else, something new. A dark energy erupted out from the alien and lunged towards the humans body. Engulfing the human, Lucian could feel a sudden rush inside his own body. It was as if the force inside his own body was begging to be used in the same way but Lucian had no idea how to harness that kind of force power. He was new to the order and nowhere near as developed as the sith in front of him. And yet he felt a need to act. The alien had its back turned and does not seem to know of Lucians presence. If the human was not going to fight then at least Lucian would step in. after seeing his fellow sith be attacked, Lucian had no second thought…here he could step up and show this alien where his place was.*

~whether I am strong enough or not, I will no let this thing attack a human. It can crawl back to the filth it came from.....Bishwag!~

*Lucian steps out from the wall completely, gaining full support and control of his body. He reaches to his belt and pulls out his lightsaber. Lucian knows he is not very strong right now, but there are a couple thing that is definitely on his side; his speed and having the element of surprise. Lucian runs forward towards the alien, hoping that his speed would be enough to get him to the target before the alien would have the ability to move out of the way. He quickly closes the gap between him and the alien, ignites his red lightsaber, lets out a strong yell, and slices across his body, hoping to catch the alien with its back turned.*

*It was feeding him, it was strengthening him, the human's essence was beginning to flow through Riglann's outstretched arms to be consumed by Riglann's hungry dark soul. That is until he felt a twinge of harm echo through the Force; a premonition of the attack that came from behind. Less than a second later a squeaky human battle cry and the snap-hiss of a lazer-sword igniting confirmed the imminent threat.*

*Breaking his link with Brendan, Riglann leaps up just as the glowing red blade of his attacker glides just centimeters below his cup-like feet. Riglann aims a powerful Force Push at the new human attacker as he flew through the air and landed with ease - clinging to the chamber's wall just over three yards from the floor. Riglann looks down on the punitive creature and lets out a threatening call.*

"Grraaarrk alien! You too wish to sate my hunnnger!? I'll consume you in this darkness!"

*But instead of the guttural barking of his people, the caustic human language spills from his mouth in a strange rumbling accent. Shocked at the sudden change of his own vocals, Riglann roars in rage as he refocuses his attention at Brendan.*

"Raaaggikikik! What isss this? What sort of foul poison have you afflicted me with alien!?"

*Riglann scratches at his throat, as if it were possible to rip the vile language from it. He had fed on the human, he had absorbed his energy and his mind. Was it possible that the premature severance of the link between them had caused Riglann to lift the human's language from his feeble mind? It seemed implausible, but Riglann could think of no other explanation. Somehow the human had infected him with his vile language!*

*Brendan can only watch as his former companion stretches his arms at him, and begins to drain, not only his heath, but what feels like his very life from him. Brendan can only grasp for air as this happens. For it was as it seemed. His former companion was draining his very essence*

*Darkness began to overcome Brendan. This was it must feel like to finally be at peace. This is what death feels like....it was excruciating*

*But then, air flows back into his lungs as the connection was severed. Grasping for air for a moment, he shakes his head slightly (Still feeling beyond weak), and tries to find out what happened. He just moves his eyes, and sees a young man come charging at the creature. He has a lightsaber engaged in his hand, so he logically thought it was a student that wondered into the tumb after them*

*Brendan tries to lift his arms, but he is so weak that they just fall back to the ground. He closes his eyes, and then opens to look at his former companion. As he does, he hears his companion speak.....but this time.....in galactic basic!*

*This could not be! How could it suddenly know this.....but before Brendan could keep on these thoughts, he feels even weaker because of it. His mental strain was taking a toll, and soon he would be out. So, as he looks once again, and sees his companion scratching at its throat, he tries to muster up a few words*

Your power grows, but to fast for you to comprehend it.....

*At this moment, Brendan tilts his head back again, and closes his eyes. The words spoken are very soft, to reflect how week he truly was. But, even in this state, he tries to let a few more words out*

But.....with training.....you will soon understand.....

*And, with that, Brendan just sits there with his eyes closed. To weak to move or fight. He only starts to think about his past now. Thoughts taking him back to his days as a trooper on this very world. The time spent at Lord Sion's side as his apprentice. How it all seemed so...touching now*

The landscape around Lucian blurred, streaks of color and textures seemed to flow in every direction around him. Running as fast as he has ever run, he moves like a bowcaster bolt through the air. The only clear image to Lucian is the alien in front of him. His face quickly grew in intensity as his red lightsaber slashed forward, illuminating his face and slashing through the unsuspecting alien; Or so he thought. With a flash, the creature jumped high in the air, out of sight of Lucian. All that he could see was the glowing red arc of his lightsaber as he followed through with his slash. Suddenly he felt a tingling sensation run through his spine.

No…..Ive felt this before… in my training… it can’t be…

A sudden wave of energy enveloped his surroundings. The Alien used force push against Lucian, but thankfully Lucians speed kept him away from the brunt of the impact. He was swept up off his feet and hurled towards the far wall. Already past the middle of the room, the walls got very close, very fast. He had enough time to attempt a landing but Lucian’s center of balance was nowhere to be found. He impacted the far wall against his lower right side and fell to the floor. A large dust cloud exploded up from the floor. Permacrete and dirt from the centuries of deterioration layered a thin film of dust on everything in the chamber that was left undisturbed.

Lucian struggled to get to his feet. He wanted to get his eyes focused on the alien as soon as he could in case another assault was imminent. Placing his left foot down he began to get up. Lucian turned to his left, resting his arm against his knee and placing his head into the grove of his elbow where he coughed out some of the dirt in his lungs. A bright red cloud surrounded him as the only light was coming from his lightsaber, outstretched in his right hand.

At first the voice He heard was faint, but his senses returned to him quickly and was able to catch the last of the aliens words “…my hunnnnger!? I’ll consume you in this darkness…” Lucian was surprised that he could understand the alien.

It talks? What force forsaken place is this tree stump from?

Lucian could hear wear the voice was coming from and identified the alien through the dust. At this point it began to settle and clear as Lucian stood up. He brushed off some bits of permecrete still on his shoulder as he coughed a few more times through the dust. Fully upright now he glared across the room towards the alien. His right arm stretched away from his body with a firm grip on his lightsaber as he made eye contact with the alien.

“Well wouldn’t you know know…*cough* the tree stump talks. Maybe it’ll pull some feelings out from the swamp it slithered out of too. Ugly looking thing, a little fluff and manners and you might pass for being equally as wretched as those furballs on Kashyyyk. Now what would one call your un-kempt self? If you can talk then possibly you have had false hope thrust upon you, thinking you’re human-like and have a name…well?”

Lucian was hoping that the distress the alien was in and the sudden presence of now two humans would sway it into halting both attacks. Gripping his lightsaber firmly in his hand, Lucian watched the aliens body language very closely, watching any sign that it would attack again. It was then that his thoughts went to the other sith in the room. He hoped that soon whatever had happened to the other human would wear off so the two of them could confront the alien together.

Lucian stands there, lightsaber clenched in his hand, sweat dripping down his brow in fear and angst, hoping for a positive response from the alien. The alien continued to scratch at its throat when all of a sudden it leaps down from the wall and just as quickly as the fight started, the creature was gone. This was perplexing to Lucian. The Alien disappeared somewhere into the blackness of the tomb. Was the creature afraid? was it setting an ambush for Lucian and the other human if they were to leave? was it overwhelmed with what was happening all around it? There was no way to tell and there was no time to think about it.

Lucians attention was quickly drawn towards the human lying on the floor. Now that they were up close for the first time since the academy Lucian was certain, without a doubt, that this was brendan. Blood was dripping out of a corner of his mouth, and his robes had a slight shimmer to them around his stomach. There was obvious and serious damage inflicted onto brendan that his robes had become blodied enough to soak all the way through several layers of clothing.

Lucian took advantage of the moment. He looked at the human, passed out on the floor, looked out in the direction they all arrived from, back to the human on the floor, and then disengaged his lightsaber. He picked the human up, struggling to balance himself with the added weight, bobbled the body of brendan over his shoulder as he found his balance, and then began briskly jogging out of the tomb. Lucian realized there might not be enough time to save the human so he began to run faster towards the tomb entrance. The light from the outside grew brighter and brighter as the air grew heavier and grittier caused by sand being blown in from the outside.

He only hoped he could get back to the academy in one piece

Riglann's mind was ablaze. So much power was coursing through him, so much raw energy. He had consumed everything which surrounded him, and it was too much. The human's dying words... he could understand them, but what was more, he felt the truth in them. The human's words echo through his mind, grinding into him and driving Riglann mad.

Your power grows, but to fast for you to comprehend it..... But.....with training.....you will soon understand.....

"You curse us! Your poison spreads!"

Again, Riglann claws at his throat as the garbled Basic escapes his mouth unintentionally - unable to understand, and now faced with yet another human opponent, Riglann see's no alternative. He jumps from the wall and leaps into a shadowy corner where he cloaks himself in the dark Force energy around him, blending into the walls of the tomb as he pushes his way out of the inner sanctum to find a place of deep solitude within the dark structure.
